MAP Policy

Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) Policy


Saekodive LLC has implemented this MAP policy to maintain the integrity of its products and to protect the interests of its dealers in the United States. Adherence to MAP standards upholds the value perception of the SAEKODIVE brand and its products. By enforcing this policy, we aim to support all dealers by preventing unauthorized price reductions that could negatively impact sales.


The MAP policy shall work under the following guidelines:

  1. MAP Pricing: The MAP for any Saekodive product must not fall below 50% of the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) as listed in the current price list. MAP pricing is established solely by Saekodive LLC and is subject to adjustment at the company’s discretion.
  2. MSRP Display Requirements: Any advertised price below the MSRP must prominently display the original MSRP and clearly indicate that the product is on sale. This can be achieved through a strike-through of the MSRP or an appropriate sale icon to ensure transparency.
  3. Scope of MAP Policy: This policy applies to all forms of advertising for Saekodive products, including but not limited to posters, coupons, mailings, newspapers, magazines, catalogs, emails, television, radio, public signage, and online or electronic media.
  4. Free or Discounted Products: Advertising additional free or discounted products alongside a Saekodive product is not permitted without authorization if it results in an effective price below the MAP.
  5. Trademark Use: Dealers in the United States agree to recognize Saekodive trademarks as the property of Saekodive LLC and to utilize only authorized advertising materials provided by Saekodive LLC.
  6. E-Commerce and Auction Sites (E-Bay, Amazon, Etsy and Other Auction Sites):
    • Prices must be listed at or above MAP for any “Buy it Now” listings.
    • All reserve or opening bids must begin at MAP or higher.
    • Best offer auctions are not permitted.

  7. Negotiated Contracts: In specific instances, Saekodive LLC may authorize certain products to be advertised below MAP. Such exceptions will be documented in writing and will specify both the discount amount and the duration of the approved promotion.
  8. Compliance and Enforcement: Intentional or repeated failure to adhere to this policy may result in termination of the dealership agreement. Saekodive LLC retains the right to determine and take appropriate action, including termination, without prior notice.

In cases where Saekodive LLC identifies an advertisement below MAP, the noncompliant party will be notified and expected to adjust the price within five business days. Failure to comply will result in the cessation of product supply to the noncompliant party.
